What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bringing these items to your first visit helps us provide appropriate care:
- Your health fund card: Bring your membership card if you have private dental cover. We can process your claim immediately. You’ll receive an accurate estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins.
- Current medications list: Include prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements you take. Some medications affect dental treatment. Others may interact with medicines we prescribe. A complete list helps us provide appropriate care.
- Medical conditions information: Inform us about diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, bleeding disorders, or allergies. This information helps us plan treatment. We can take necessary precautions for you during care.
- Recent dental X-rays: Bring copies if you had X-rays at another clinic within 12 months. This helps us avoid unnecessary additional imaging. You’ll reduce time and radiation exposure while we get diagnostic information.
- Photo identification: Bring your driver’s licence or another ID form. This helps us verify your details and complete your patient records accurately.
Our team is here to make your first visit comfortable and informative. When you choose a dentist in Bicton, we look forward to welcoming you to our clinic.
